Let The Madness Begin

This is Jimmer Fredette.  Everyone say hello to him.  And to his biceps.

He's on ESPN's "Top 40 Players to Watch For" list.

He also plays for BYU.

Oh, you guessed that already?

I chose my bracket yesterday.

Amazingly, it looks nearly identical to Barack Obama's.  I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but I'm pretty sure Barack knows more about college basketball than he does about passing laws.  Plus, how cool is it that you can call his bracket "Barack-atology"?  That's the one thing wrong with being named Erin.
You can't do anything cool with your name.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that just as in years past, I will dominate.  As if that were even in question.  I need to win so I can win the coveted BYU Intramural t-shirt - mostly because none of my clothes, except my prize t-shirt from two years ago, fit anymore.

My FINAL FOUR are Kansas, Kentucky, Kansas State, and Villanova.  Husband put Duke in the championship game after chastising me last year for putting them in the Elite Eight (and of course, he was right - they totally let me down.  Thanks for nothing, Coach K.)

I've already pulled up CBS.com to prepare for the first games starting at 11:00.  As luck would have it, the big boss, who always walks up behind me and looks at my computer, is on vacation today and tomorrow.

Despite that fact, I've tested the use of the "boss button" on my extremely slow computer and found that it works pretty well.  It pulls up a fake work flow sheet over the top of your video feed and silences the game.  I discovered it last year and it's still just as funny now as it was then.

In closing, I would just like to say to the BYU men's team, please don't let me down.  And Jimmer, I don't want to hear any crap about you being too sick to play.

I mean, I know you haven't won a tournament game since like 1993, but I've shown my faith once again this year and picked you over Florida (but not over Kansas State...sorry, dude).  Husband says you don't have what it takes.  If you lose again this year, I won't be so kind next year.  Yes, that's a threat.

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!! We're getting the food all ready and Bud should be home from work in time for tip off. I, too, hope BYU goes far, but have an issue with them always losing in the first round. It is sick how you can look at the match-ups and think that they could actually WIN the game and all of a sudden you have them as a final four team and think, "Whoa, buddy, I'm not that dumb!" I love this time of year!!!!!!!!!

I think i'm going to start using jimmer as an exclamation as in: 'holy jimmer!' or 'that is totally jimmer!' or 'my bracket got all jimmered up!'. personally, i like the last one best.
