Husband and I were totally made for each other (MFE - thank you, Sleepless in Seattle). As a Valentine's Day gift to me, Husband shared some reasons why he thinks so (and I've added in some of my own as well):
1. He told me a while back that he doesn't understand it when girls get all dressed up to go out. He said he'd rather see them in jeans and a sweatshirt with curly hair and glasses. Um, HELLO! Do I even own anything other than sweatshirts and jeans (well, shorts)?
2. I told him that I read on the Internet that girls aren't supposed to like football. Because boys "know they're girls and they want them to act like one". He told me the article was stupid and that he likes that I like football. I might have cried a little bit when he said that. You know, because I'm a girl and I wanted him to see me acting like one.
3. He says he "likes a girl he can grab a holt of". And yes, he says "holt", not "hold". The good news for him is there's plenty of me to love.
4. He doesn't mind discussing my, um, embarassing intestinal issues. Enough said.
5. He loves the fact that I am an obvious romantic who gives GREAT Valentine's Day gifts. Like this one:
Happy Valentine's Day, Husband! Yes, a blender! Not just any blender, an extra powerful blender.
Because, you see, I needed one to make a Jamba Juice smoothie (which, after tasting my homemade concoction, may cause me to go on an all liquid diet....I am in love with this smoothie even though it's freezing outside and I have to snuggle up to Husband after eating it because it makes my whole body cold), but didn't feel like I could justify purchasing a blender just for me.
When I gave it to him, I might have said, "Look, a gift for you that I can use, too!"
I'm such an outstanding wife.
