Things I Want to Learn:

1.  I want to learn how to cook.  Oh, I can follow a recipe as well as the next person and it usually turns out ok (and sometimes, hold your breath, it turns out pretty good...shocking, I know).  But I would love to be one of those people who looks in the fridge, pulls out six ingredients, throws them in a pot and BAM.  Deliciousness.

2.  I want to learn photography.  I have a nice camera.  I have a book on how to use it.  And I still have no idea what I'm doing.  I blame it on Husband.  He won't pose for me.  I need some children.  So I have someone I can bully into doing whatever I want.

3.  I want to learn Photoshop.  You know, to fix the pictures I take.  Of course, that would mean purchasing Photoshop.  Which means $650.  Which is half of my paycheck in any given month.  Oh, and once I have it, I'd have to actually figure it out.  It could be hard.  Because I'm kind of technologically challenged.

4.  I want to learn to decorate cakes.  The Judy decorates cakes - she does it old school, no fondant or anything.  I want my cakes to be like Ace of Cakes.  And I want to put my fondant through a pasta maker.  I think it would be fun.

5.  I want to learn some fix-er-up skills.  Mostly for my car.  It keeps breaking.  And it costs more for labor than it does for parts.  I figure I could pretty much do most of it myself.  Except I don't know how.

6.  I want to learn some construction skills.  Like laying tile and those little snap in wood floors.  I'd also like to know some plumbing stuff.  Like how to put in toilets and bathtubs.  Because one day when I have $90,000 just lying around, I'm going to become a house flipper.

7.  I want to learn to play the piano.  Strike that.  I want to KNOW how to play the piano.  There's a big difference.  See, I don't really want to do the practicing thing.  At all.  Which is why I don't know how to play the piano to begin with.  I took lessons for a couple of years when I was little.  Mom made me.  And I fought it tooth and nail until she let me quit.

8.  I want to learn to sew.  I can do the basics.  Like hemming and putting buttons on.  I think I can even follow a pattern even though I haven't done that since I was twelve.  When I got married mom offered me Grandma Satan's old sewing machine.  All I could think was, "Good grief, when am I ever going to need that?"  My only problem is that I have a really hard time with seam allowance.  And the whole sewing straight thing.  But I could learn that, right?

9.  I want to learn how to make my own website.  I think I'm going to buy the domain for I-am-the-awesomest-ever.com.

10.  I want to learn to speak Spanish.  I think in order to do this, I'm going to have to move to Mexico because I can't really learn unless I'm immersed - which was the only way I learned Japanese on my mission.  I had Japanese companions for the entire first year!  The mission president was a wise man.

* all this, of course, after I've passed my massage therapy test, which I was FINALLY able to apply for yesterday.  Apparently it takes 3 weeks for them to review my application to make sure I'm educated enough to take the test.  Then they send me a test scheduling clearance and I have three months to schedule and take the test.  I was hoping to get it out of the way before Christmas...looks like a no go on that one!

As far as #1 goes, haven't you seen Ratatouille? "Anyone can cook!!!" Watch the food network enough and you'll learn what ingredients go really well together. Come on Erin, you can do it!!!

I can't believe you live in Northern Mexico and can't speak Spanish yet. I find that hard to believe. :)
