Thanksgiving

We had Grainne and her beau, Peter for Thanksgiving.  Every year that passes I appreciate Grainne and Thanet's friendship more and more - because no matter how long it's been between times we've seen or talked to each other, we pick up right where we left off.

I especially appreciated Grainne on Thursday because she did a majority of the nasty Thanksgiving dishes!  She also folded laundry and washed towels.  I think I might have protested weakly but I can't be 100% sure.

Below is a picture of our Thanksgiving feast.  It kind of looks like a mess on a plate, but since I forgot to take a picture of the turkey before Husband started ripping it apart, this is all I have (had it not been for Grainne, I wouldn't have had any pictures at all).

For anyone who's wondering, the cajun turkey was DELICIOUS.  Plus, injecting it was one of the best cooking exercises I've ever been a part of (I kind of took over when I saw how much fun Husband was having with his industrial strength syringe).

All in all, it was a fabulous holiday that could have only been made better by a Texas A&M win...and some of mom's homemade apple pie.

I can totally vouch for the Thanksgiving dinner! It was delicious! The best turkey ever! (Sorry Dad!). I managed to track down another one of those super dooper injectors! Dad will have great fun at Christmas!

Thanks again for having us! We both really enjoyed our first Thanksgiving!
