Time to Daydream

I have a lot of time on my hands at work.  A LOT.  And that means time to daydream.  Mostly I dream about traveling.  Here are the places (and things) on my mind today:

The Swiss Alps:  My life goal is to rent a chalet and drink hot chocolate while looking at these...I've wanted to do it ever since I was a little girl.

Bora Bora:  I'm staying here when I go.  I don't care how much it costs.

Elk Snout, Canada:  Isn't that a funny name? Apparently Elk Snout isn't a great tourist desitination - there are no pictures of it that pop up on Google.  So instead, here's a nice picture of an actual Elk.  Which, from what I understand, don't really reside in Elk Snout.  If I can't go to Elk Snout, I'm headed over to Moose Jaw, just up the road.

The coast of Ireland:  Hopefully this will be in the works not too long from now.  Get ready for me, Grainne!  I'm coming!  And I want to kiss the Blarney Stone, too!

The coast of Washington (and Oregon and California):  And yes, I wanted to go there before Twilight made it popular.

The Camel Raes in Virginia City:  My friend, Teri (that's her in the picture...I lifted it off her blog), participates in the Virginia City Camel Races annually.  Isn't that hysterical?

Scuba diving:  Anywhere would be fine but I'd really like to see the Great Barrier Reef.

The Statue of Liberty:  I want to walk all the way to the top!  I'm totally going to Ellis Island.

The Parthenon:  Has anyone else seen My Life in Ruins?  The movie, not so great.  But the scenery?  Fabulous.  And Nia Vardalos' clothes?  Gorgeous.

If you come up for the races, I'll get you on a camel.

That sound like a ton of fun! You forgot to put Bobby's on there, though. Don't worry--I forgive you!

You should know they don't let people go all the way to the top of the statue of liberty any more :( It's getting old or something and apparently letting people up there is not helping the situation. Better to know now than later though right?! You'd hate to get all the way there and be disappointed! (Unless they have changed the rules since I went in 2001).

I was just watching on the Today show about the Statue of Liberty. They are allowing people to go to the top, but it's some ridiculous amount of tickets available daily - like 25 or something. I wonder who I need make friends with to get one...
