Yesterday in conference, President Monson announced five new temples including one for SAPPORO, JAPAN. I'm thrilled. Like all the way down to my toes. Because that's an answer to decades of prayer. On the last day of my mission, The Mission President showed us the land the church had purchased years ago for the purpose of building a temple one day.
Here we are, only six years later (holy crap. Can that be right?? SIX YEARS?)...there's going to be a temple in Sapporo.

ALSO ONE IN FORT LAUDERDALE!! Do you have any idea what that will mean to the poor members in Miami? Ft. Laud is worlds more accessible for them than Orlando!!
YAY! Is that just a rendering of what it is going to be? So beautiful! That is much closer than the 9 hour bus ride to Tokyo!
Liz, the picture is of the Fukuoka temple. I assume the Sapporo temple will look somewhat similar.
And Nancy, I thought about you when they announced Ft. Lauderdale!
I was reading today that there are 130 active temples, 16 in construction, and these five announced. That's 151. YAY.
Erin, that's great! :)
