A Week of Respite

1. Ahhhh....cooler weather. Humidity yesterday and today = below 70%. Temperature yesterday and today = >87 degrees I'm trying to reign in my excitement because I know it's only temporary and that next week, it'll be back up in the 90's again.

2. Because it's so nice and cool I ate my lunch outside yesterday. I got in trouble for giving my leftovers to the wild kitties. Someone said it would kill them if they ate people food. Ok, number one, down to the Neff household, we fed our cats people food the entire time I was growing up. They may have been fat, but they were happy and lived longer than most other cats I know. Number two, there are five kitties. I don't think one less would make that much of a difference.

3. The cooler weather means one thing: you can smell the paper plant that's thirty miles north of here. So, cool = smelly. I was thinking the other day that I'd rather have hot than smelly. Then I thought about how stupid that sounded.

4. The Texans are wearing sweatshirts. You've got to be kidding me. Not that I'm against sweatshirts. I'm definitely pro-sweatshirt - just not until it gets below 60 degrees.

5. Less humidity = a better looking Erin. Less frizz. Faster drying hair. Only half as sweaty. Look out baby, I'm looking HOT.

We only wear sweaters because we know that this is our one and ONLY opportunity to wear one-layered long-sleeved anything. When the weather advances to actually being cold, we have to wear jackets and such. Any hotter and we have to go out naked.
