Umm. I don't have anything to say but I didn't think I could go to bed without mentioning that it's 09-09-09. And it's the 252nd day of the year. And 2+5+2=9. And 09+09+09=27. And 27 is significant because...well, it's not significant at all.
You know, in Japan, 9 is a unlucky number. So is 4. There are no 4th or 9th floors in any building there. And no Japanese person wants a phone number with a 4 or a 9 in it. And now that I'm thinking about it, when I was in Japan my work, home, and cell numbers all had either a 4 or a 9. Ha. Bet they thought they'd pawn it off on the unsuspecting gaijin...and they totally did without me even realizing it. Until 3 years later.
Yes. Three years. That's how long I've been back from Japan. Seems like yesterday.
Where has the time gone?

Mother of Mike! If you are home three years, I am home five! Mental!
Oops! I thought I was adding on a year! Its 4 years since I came home! Stoopid!
27 is significant because 2 + 7 = 9. There was a whole article on it yesterday on yahoo. Really interesting. They said 9 is extremely lucky if you are Chinese but unlucky if you're Japanese since the word for "9" sounds like "death" or something creepy. I'm just surprised that the world didn't end yesterday. Oh, well. There's always October 10th next year. :)
4 is unlucky in Korea, too. The Elders always ended up on the 4th floor of buildings. Ha ha. Suckers!
Oh, well, good grief. I thought I'd come up with those little calculations all on my own. Turns out I'm not as smart as I think I am.
And the world doesn't end until 12-22-12 - according to the Mayans.
There was a woman who gave birth to a baby boy at McKay-Dee hospital on 09-09-09 at 9:09pm. Crazy! I wonder if that baby gets any good prizes like the New Year's babies.
