1. I'm so tired of living in the city. There are people, people, and more people. And they're all talking. All the time. Even if there's no one else listening or talking back. I miss having a place to go where it's silent. Who knew that I, Erin, the talker of the Paul Neff Family would ever lust after pure silence?
2. I'm also tired of the summer. I know, I know, the summer's only three weeks old. But it's SO HOT and SO HUMID. And all the pavement just makes it hotter. Even my tomatoes are having an adverse reaction. The poor little things are constantly wilting. So am I. The Texas summer forces me to adopt the mantra, "every day is a ponytail day and yes, ponytails are so, so pretty". I'm always glistening with sweat regardless of where I am or what I'm doing. I'm so not cute during the summer.
3. The good thing about living in the city is that there's always someone to laugh at. Today it was the cab driver with a pair of longhorns strapped to his hood with baling wire. On the side of his car was stenciled, "Give me liberty or give me beer."
4. Husband finished his last final this morning. Another semester in the books. He's more than halfway to a degree. Let's everyone celebrate.

I love ponytails...I wear them all year long & in Utah if you put a 4 inch fake gerber daisy in your side pony you are in major style!
