Seriously, This is My Life

1. Husband and I woke up this morning to go to the gym for the first time in who-knows-how-long. I have been walking outside and thought that I was doing a pretty good job. WRONG. I felt every second of the elliptical trainer today. I came out of there with a face the color of a tomato. It is still that color nearly 2 1/2 hours later.

2. I love that it is light at 6:15 am. I hate that it gets dark by 5:30 pm.

3. Gas is now $2.09. I know, it's annoying that I feel that I have to quote gas prices everyday but I am so excited! Plus, I got another free tank of gas on Saturday. I had to talk the by-the-rules-crusty-old-gas-cubicle-lady into taking some of my expired gas coupons. It's never been a problem before. Good thing I'm so charming.

4. I went to the ward Halloween party on Friday night. I felt so out of place I didn't know what to do with myself. I'm pretty sure I've now stepped beyond just the plain old anti-social boundaries.

5. I wonder how boring my life has gotten that I have resorted to writing lists of the things I think about. I don't even have enough of a story for an entire post anymore. I guess that's the sign that it's time to spice up my life...by doing something exciting...I don't know what...but when I figure it out, LOOK OUT.

6. I bought some onion and chive cream cheese on Saturday. Holy crap, it's DELICIOUS.

7. I think I might have made a new friend on Saturday. One of Husband' co-workers came over to watch the Texas vs. Texas Tech game. She brought guacamole. And she likes football. And crocheting. That right there is a sure sign we are destined to be BFFs.

8. I can't tell you how happy I am that the election is going to be over tomorrow. I watched John McCain and Sarah Palin on CNN this morning doling out campaign promises. All I could do was roll my eyes. This campaign has gone on for at least seventeen years.

9. Does anyone know where I can get some grocery coupons to use in Beaumont? I have a goal to become super coupon woman (seriously, this is how lame my life has gotten), but apparently there are no grocery coupons to be had here. Just as a PS Husband found 2 litre Dr. Peppers at Walgreens for 89 cents. Too bad we're trying to cut back.

10. For those of you who are looking for a delicious drink but remember days past when Crystal Light was NASTY, I urge you to try it again. It now tastes just like Kool-Aid. Man, I love Kool-Aid.

Erin - you make me laugh... your thoughts are often my same exact ones. Here are my comments:

1. I haven't been to the gym in who knows when myself. I haven't worked out in who knows when. If you ever want a buddy, let me know. I'll go!

2. I hate how early it gets too!

3. I should learn from your example... I always throw mine out. Want em'?

4. The ward party was awkward for EVERYONE. We had a kid and we thought it was awkward. We left early ourselves.

5. I like your lists. They're reader friendly. But, if you're looking for something to spice up your life... guess what I found? http://beaumontcitydance.com/ Let me know if you wanna go!

6. Anything with cream cheese is delish!

7. Hooray for new friends!

8. Same here. I don't even watch anything political anymore. I'm thinking of having a "So glad its over" party tomorrow.

9. Once upon a time, I was coupon super-woman. I need to get back into it. Let me share a few sites where you can PRINT coupons (and they work!)... coupons.com and printable-coupons.blogspot.com. Also the Sunday paper... ALSO, if you like a particular product, go to their website. Sometimes, if you review it or sign up for their promotions, they'll email you coupons. One last thing - Kroger is the only grocery store in our area that has double coupon days.

10. I think I'll pick up some Crystal Light. I have tried it since the 90's when it had a nasty vomit aftertaste.

I love your lists! They are always entertaining. And I like that I am not the only one who is constantly checking the gas prices and getting overly excited about how low they are getting. Here, we are still at 2.29, but I will take it. And I rediscovered Crystal Light about a year ago. The Kiwi-Strawberry is delicioso. Oh, and if you are still looking for a good turkey recipe, I have one that I have used and love (includes the stuffing). Let me know if you want to check it out and I will email it to you.

I always get mine from the Sun. newspaper, but there are usually only a few good ones. If I buy brand names even with the coupons they are more than store brands. You have to wait until they go on sale........was that confusing?
happy hunting!!!
