Ike has taken a turn south...or maybe it's west...or southwest. Anyway, it is now going AWAY FROM US. Looks like we won't get even a little piece of it. From what I understand they are still carrying out evacuations in our area. Have they not seen this latest projection?? And, I hate to bring this up YET AGAIN (who am I kidding, I love it) but I am seriously thinking about pursing a career in meteorology. I predicted the turn to the south TWENTY HOURS prior to the Weather Channel's prediction (if you don't believe me, look at my Facebook page at 10 am yesterday morning). Forget the media. I'm calling you for the latest hurricane info. And, don't worry about the evacs. Unless it comes closer to us, it won't happen.
