After two years of ignoring the book recommendations of every female I know, I am now officially hooked on the Twilight series. I was the first to dismiss a series about a teenager with a vampire boyfriend and werewolf best friend - what could be MORE dorky than that (besides a series of books about a boy wizard and his two friends that I just happen to LOVE)?
However, after just finishing the third book on the fifth day of owning them (thanks to a combination of no life and the fact that the doctor is out of town), I am going to have to say that I am firmly pro-werewolf. I figure that I, too, am a werewolf, thanks to my human heater tendencies. I believe I will morph any day now.
I'm still out to lunch on the vampires unless they are the wicked, man eating kind. In fact,I would not be at all sad if there was more fighting amongst the vampires and less of Bella...she bugs me on a regular basis. They make the books interesting. All the others seem kind of stiff...no pun intended.
I think this is mostly because I accidentally watched the trailer for the movie to be released in November. I'm sorry, but the boy who plays Edward is ALL WRONG. He is SOOO not what I pictured.

Okay, I have been debating whether or not I should read them, since "everyone is doing it". I actually picked one up today at the bookstore but then the boys had to pee and I put it down and talked myself out of it in the process. Maybe I can borrow it from someone I know...
I fully agree with you. Bella drives me crazy, she is so selfish, whiney...blah. I really like the werewolfs. I'm only half way thru the 3rd book, but am liking the vampires a little more this time. I am wondering if my daughter may be half vampire because she keeps biting me! And she is the age little Renesme would be at this point in the book.
