Watching the Olympics end was like watching my only friend walk out the door after a prolonged stay filled with endless activities and umm, endless AWESOMENESS.
I can't tell you how sad I am - it's like the let down after a huge party that you planned for a year...then the party is over and all that's left is clean-up.
I was ecstatic to see the final days - gold for the men's volleyball team over BRAZIL! Who beats Brazil?? AMERICA, the team that's made up of men who are all 30+, that's who!
Despite the fact that I am not personally acquainted with any of the volleyball players, I could feel the love emanating from my television set (I believe this is due to the fact that the coach, Hugh McCutcheon, did my volleyball camp when I was fourteen-years-old and a student at Wells High School. I'm sure he remembers me.)
I guess for comfort, I'm going to have to turn to my Thursday, Friday, and Saturday only friend - Mr. College Football. I think I may have mentioned our elicit relationship previously...

We were sad to see the Olympics go too! Although, it will be nice to get to bed before 1 am. Karl is the funniest about the olympics. He has quite the commentary going on the judging process, must have picked it up from the Dawnito.
Which teams are you rooting for now that it is college football?
Of course I will be rooting for BYU - Grandma Neff would turn in her grave if I ever did differently. I also root for Texas A&M because Husband lives and dies by Aggie football. Other than that, I root for the underdog. Unless the underdog is Utah, Notre Dame, or Miami.
