Have My Cake And Eat It, Too

You know, it's a shame Husband and I can't live on cake for several reasons:

1. I can always find a cake recipe I want to try - the comparison of cake recipes to real food recipes that I have is probably three to one. It also makes shopping easy when everything you need can be found on the baking aisle.

2. Licking out the bowl - you can't do that with normal food. And just to let you know, I have yet to offer the bowl to Husband before I clean it out. I don't think he minds. In fact, I wonder if my family was the only one raised licking bowls.

3. You can put a cake in the oven and you don't have to bother with it for thirty whole minutes. This is WAAAYYYY better than having to stand over a hot pan.

4. There is something about spreading frosting on a cake - so creamy and smooth - unless, of course, you decide to make pretty patterns in the top. Or write your name. I'm not sure I've ever frosted a cake without scratching my name into the frosting at least once.

5. Clean-up is so easy! No cheese stuck to plates, no mooshy spaghetti noodles in the sink. Plop the cake on the plate, eat the cake, and stick the plate straight in the dishwasher!

And, as Bill Cosby says, "What's in chocolate cake? Flour, milk, eggs. THAT'S HEALTHY!"

My family is definitely a bowl-licking family. You are not alone! :)

"Erin is great...gives us the chocolate cake...." The question is, do you drink grapefruit juice with your chocolate cake?
