WINNER WINNER WINNER!!!

I can't help the fact that I am a winner. Winners win. That's all there is to it. My most recent win comes at the hands of a Memphis loss, a Kansas win, and me making random picks of awesomeness. In other words, I just won the ENTIRE NCAA BRACKET against hundreds of former BYU intramural employees (ok, so not hundreds...more like 20).

This is my very first bracket win EVER. I used to make picks based on who I wanted to see win rather than who would actually win. Turns out you win when you pick the good teams (and Husband said I would have done even better had I listened to him). Go figure.

I did have to do nasty, dirty things to win, however. I'm not proud of it. I cheered for Texas, UCLA, and worst of all, Duke. Hoping for Duke to win was like licking an ashtray (and it turns out that my faith in them was completely unfounded). Or, in more poignant terms, it was like rooting for Utah, Miami, or Notre Dame.

I am thrilled to the bone with myself. And, I plan on living off this win for at least 20 years as I seriously doubt it will happen again anytime soon.

I have major beef with Memphis so I'm glad they lost. When I lived there, they were the suckiest team ever! No one wasted their money even attending a game. The second I leave they turn awesome. Am I cursed?

I have a major beef with Memphis because they can't make a free throw!!! If they could, I would be the one writing this post. AAARGH.

You know, you are speaking with a former Elko Nevada Stake free throw champion, not to mention the fact that I made 75% of my free throws my senior year on the venerable Wells High School basketball team (I totally made 3 of 4...I very rarely shot free throws because #1 I very rarely went any lower than the 3-point line and #2 because I was instructed by my coach not to shoot unless I was WIDE OPEN...as you can tell, I was the heart of the team rather than the talent).

Perhaps I should go over to Memphis and give a workshop.

what html do you want to install? If it is a code from another site, just copy the code and on your layout page, hit add new element, then pick html or third party code, then paste it in the box and voila. If it is an html code for changing your layout, that is more complex, but do-able. Let me know if you need me to go into further detail.

I'm heading down to Memphis when you are there and I will sell t-shirts that say "Erin Rules" and "2008 Bracket Champ" and "I hit 75% of my free throws, how about you?" and such. Let me know the dates you'll be there.

Erin,

This has nothing to do with the last post, but I have just found your blog again after a long separation! You´ve written a book! I´m amazed...although not really surprised as your blog was always very funny. I will read it.

Can I have a t-shirt that says, "Winners win"?? The Memphis men's program and I are still working out the financial details, but it looks like I should be there sometime in early October.

And, anonymous, I am going to have to know who you are. I am always nicer to my fans than I am to regular people - unless I don't know who they are and then I am forced to still be mean.
