Today, the doctor randomly decided to give me the raise he promised me. I have no idea what changed his mind. The funny thing is that despite the fact that I feel like I fought for it thinking that it would make a big difference, it looks pretty piddly on the check...
I guess I'll just chalk it up to a moral victory.

Yes, ice cream is about the only new thing I can afford with the raise. Or a bag of Cabury mini-eggs!!! Only the small bag, though...
Hey, compound that extra $1 by 12 months and you have an extra $12 a year. That's a good chunk of change.
I hadn't really thought of it that way! Just think of all the things you can buy with $12 (or $9 after taxes): three gallons of gas, three stick of deodorant, or nine packs of gum! But NOT more Abreva for my cold sores...
