Bill Clinton is Ruining My Day

My day is currently being ruined and it is all Bill Clinton's fault. Literally.

Bill Clinton is campaigning in Beaumont today by meeting with "50 influential Latino leaders" at a local restaurant. So that he can meet his obligations in a timely manner, they have closed all of the roads, setting up road blocks in random places, and posted policemen, firemen, secret service men, and garbage men all over the city to protect him. What are they protecting him from? Irrate Beaumont citizens such as myself who can't get can't get their free Mexican lunch (compliments of a home health agency) delivered due to traffic woes.

Come on, Bill! Is it not as important for me to support the Latino owned businesses as it is for you to speak with Latino leaders for hours at a time without getting anything accomplished? At least I'm putting money into the local economy (well, not so much me as Brian, the man who is supposed to bring the food) and therefore, contributing to society.

And while I'm on this topic, why is it that only the Latinos of Beaumont get to voice their opinions? Is that not considered discrimination? What about the white girl with a college degree who can't get a decent job? Nobody has asked what I think. Nobody wants to know what's important to me (lower taxes, cheaper gas, healthcare that is still great without costing me an arm and a leg, new roads throughout all of Beaumont without any construction delays, and a toll booth on the road where I don't have to pay a cent but instead recieve a free handful of Twizzlers everytime I drive through).

Thanks for nothing, Bill. Now get out of the way so I can get my delicious styrofoam box full of chicken quesidillas.

I was hoping to become a senior media analyst in D.C. If I had gotten the opportunity to interview him (see my blog) then I would have asked him some hardball questions - which would have caught the attention of the worldwide media. This would have brought on an in-depth inteview with Babs on 20/20 or the gals on the View. During this interview, I would have expressed my goal of being senior media analyst in D.C.... And, some big shot in D.C. would decide to take a chance on a young gun, like myself, with enough guts to ask a former president hardball questions. And, I would've gotten the job. See? He ruined my career.

Yes, yes...I can see how Bill Clinton ruined your career. I can also see how living in Beaumont might have ruined your career as well...being that it's not exactly Washington D.C.
