Grainne came at the beginning of October. Naturally, she wanted to experience Texas in all it's glory. And what does that mean? COUNTRY DANCING. Of course, since it was a Wednesday, we showed up at 9pm and were the first ones there. The bartender said, "It usually picks up around 10:30. THAT'S A LONG TIME FROM NOW." Right, right...we get it....we're lame. We took a few minutes (after 10:30) to tear up the dance floor at the Dixie Dance Hall (Grainne took a few pictures of that, too. However, since I didn't know my rear end was THAT big, I've decided not to post them here. Be VERY thankful).
Japan friend Jenny from Massachusetts joined us for the Columbus Day weekend. Here we are enjoying as many Olive Garden breadsticks as we can get.
And, despite my lack of creativity, we managed to paint some pottery! It was FUN! Of course, it would have been more fun had we chosen what we were going to paint in advance - because it took Jenny and Thanet an hour to decide. By the time they had their paintable item, Grainne and I were up to our elbows in paint and brushes. Aren't we CUTE?
