AUTHOR'S COPIES

YEA FOR ME! The author's (that's me) copies of my book were dropped off at my door just now. I almost peed my pants when I saw who the box was from and thought about what was inside. I've been holding both copies and turning them over and over in my hands (and I tried to take some glamour shots of the books, but it looks like both of them turned out just a little bit blurry). SO EXCITED! It's so surreal and at the same time anticlimactic. I mean, I'm home alone and I don't know a single soul in this city beside Husband who I know well enough to call. When I first saw the cover of the book, my first instinct was to look around for someone to show it to. There's no one here. Not even a cat (and I don't think there are any mice either, but you never know). I wanted fanfare. Sigh. A little sad...but more excited than sad. Even if nothing ever happens with this book, I'm PRAYING that it will at least parlay into a new job - one where I can use SOMETHING that God gave me (meaning my creativity/brain).
