- Eight straight days of rain is too many. I have only recently learned this. When we were in Nevada at church, Husband was incredulous that people actually PRAYED for rain. Then, when we were praying before one of our meals, HE prayed for rain. Then, we come back down to Texas and what do we get?? RAIN. In the future, I am going to have to ask him to be specific about the destination of the rain that he prays for.
- Speaking of rain, I was out and about the other day while it was raining. When I got home and was unloading my stuff, lightening actually struck the tree right in front of our house. It freaked me out almost to the point of wetting myself.
- I have come to the realization that I have a SMALL plant buying problem. I have 13. I love to plant them and I love to look at them. But most of all, I just love to buy them because they are SOOO pretty. My boss runs an addiction recovery class on Tuesdays. Perhaps I should think about going.
- I'm quitting church and I'm NOT KIDDING THIS TIME. I've had eight two-year-olds by myself for nearly the past four months. Every week is an exercise in disaster prevention. By the time I get home, I have to have an entire hour to decompress.
- I counted it up yesterday and I have applied for over 30 jobs in the last seven months and haven't gotten a single interview. Of course, I did go to a Montessori school the other day and they wanted to hire me on the spot. I had to say no because it seemed like it would be like the church nursery class EVERY DAY - and I couldn't handle that.
- I told my dad about the Montessori job and that they were willing to pay $12/hour. And, my dad, who hardly ever says anything said, "Erin, you're worth $20/hour." Its nice to know that someone appreciates me even if he is my dad.
- School has started again and that means that the road hog school buses are back out on the road. I go to work at the same time the buses are returning to the bus yard for the morning. I have to drive in the turning lane just so I won't be threatened by the buses. Either the drivers are crazy or the lanes in Beaumont are not wide enough to accommodate them because they always seem to be halfway in my lane. Move over, fatty!

Both my bro and I went to a Montessori school when we were younger. I actually think you might enjoy that job. It's a pretty cool educational approach. Very different than traditional school (and better, if you ask me). I do, however, think you are worth more than $12/hr, but having come from the lamest job ever, let me tell you, money ain't everything if your job bites.
