Enough Already

The American press (and a lot of other people for that matter) needs to get a new hobby. This is why:

1. SEVEN MONTHS OF COVERAGE ON ANNA NICOLE. I'm sorry, but I'm so sick of hearing about Anna Nicole, her baby, her baby's father, her supposed millions, and her drug addictions that apparently DIDN'T kill her. I don't understand how she got to be famous in the first place. The only thing she's ever done is take her clothes off and shake her boobs that AREN'T EVEN REAL. Then, she married an 87-year-old man, who she apparently met at a strip club and tried to get in on his loads of cash. To me, that means that she had absolutely NO talent. So why do we have to continue to hear about her and what she did/didn't do? I mean, there are two channels on cable that have been dedicated to her death and finding out who the daddy is for over two months. ENOUGH ALREADY.
2. DON IMUS APPARENTLY SUCKS. Yes, it's true, he's a certified jackass. What he said about the Rutger's female basketball team was completely uncalled for and crass. However, what you have to understand is that Mr. Imus is paid the big bucks to BE a certified jackass. That's basically his job title. He's made fun of everyone and their dog by making other crude statements. So, why is this one any different? Ban him or fire him or whatever, but don't talk about it as if it's a life-and-death situation because it's NOT.
3. BRITTANY CANNOT CHANGE HER LIFE IN 28 DAYS. Yes people that's right. Just because Brittany Spears went to rehab for a grand total of 28 days does not mean that her life has done a "180". The apparent good news out of all of this is that she met the newest love of her life in rehab. He gets out in 20 days (he opted for the more successful 43 day program) and they can spend their days blissfully smoking weed in the presence of Brittany's two children. Outstanding.
4. DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES RAISE MILLIONS FOR CAMPAIGN. Hillary Clinton has raised a reported $26 million for her presidential campaign while Barack Obama has only managed a scant $25 million. My first thought is, "Why would I vote for a candidate who spent $26 million on advertising/traveling/making idiots of themselves when they could be spending that money to actually help America and it's citizens?" I know that some people don't have anything else to spend money on other than politicians, but don't you think that there are other more worthy causes that they could be focusing on (and this is true of all people, not just rich ones)?

And that is all I can think of for right now, but if I think of any in the future, you can bet that I'll let you know. All of this from a person who considers themselves "not opinionated". I would hate to see what someone who HAS an opinion would come up with.
