Nevada In The Morning
I wish that these pictures did the scenery justice. This is what I saw yesterday morning when I was driving to school. Nothing like mist covered mountains to enchant you or to freak you out, whatever the case may be. Anyway, just a glimpse of what an early morning drive through the Nevada desert can bring.

I don't know where Wells is, but I just want you to know that I have driven from Austin, NV to Tonopah, NV in the early morning, about this time of year, and I saw nothing like this. In fact I didn't much of anything at all. No power lines, no animals, and few if any homes. I drove in the on-coming lane for 20 miles and didn't encounter anything that required me to move back into my lane, so I can understand your obession with the morning clouds.
Ok, let's be honest, Austin and Tonopah both suck. There's a reason that stretch of highway is called "the lonliest highway in the world". Perhaps if you had had the new CD produced by the Nevada Department of Transportation, explaining all of the exciting things along that road, you would have had a better time...highly doubtful, but worth a try. The CD is free and can be found on the internet...probably at austinandtonopahsuck.com
