You know, it was just under two weeks ago when my mom put out four slices of tomato and said, "Now, you guys, this is the only tomato we have, so we are going to have to ration it." Today I filled a gallon bucket full of tomatoes from the plants in the garden. We all know what this means! Salsa, salsa, and more salsa. Life really can't get any better than this.

My fav salsa is just diced tomatoes, green peppers, and onions covered in a little lemon juice. And in America, those tomatoes are so small, everyone makes fun of them. Really.
Paddy, why are you asking someone from Utah how to make a good salsa? Though Neffi does do a good job, but she's missing key components.
The best salsas have diced tomatoes, diced onions, and dice green peppers, but for flavor you need to add some cilantro and for spiciness, the slightest touch of Habanero pepper will be sufficient.
You puree` it all together in a blender, then leave in the fridge over night to give the flavors a chance to mix together. The next morning, find yourself come eggs, or tortilla chips and enjoy!
Salsa on scrambled eggs is soo oishi! Much better than ketchup!
Speedy, Nick said that I forgot to mention that you need a little bit of vinegar and garlic in your salsa...he also mentioned jalepeno peppers, which I nix from mine. And don't puree it like Skilz says...we like it CHUNKY! Are you thinking about making salsa or are all of us just giving this advice because we like to hear ourselves talk?
And Skilz, I resent the fact that you think I'm from Utah. I am a proud Nevadan, born and raised.
Sorry Neffy! Didn't mean to insult you. I guess I would say the same thing if you accused me of being from New Mexico....though it is a lovely area!
