It Can Always Get Worse

Today at church, we studied the story of Job in the Old Testament. There are things that everyone, even those who are not Christian, can learn from Job's story:
  1. Job had 7,000 sheep BEFORE he was cursed. For those of you who have ever owned sheep, we know that perhaps this was serving as a preparation for his future curses as owning even one sheep is like hell (and the funny thing about it is that AFTER his curses were over, he was DOUBLY "blessed" with 14,000 sheep). He also had camels and "she-asses", which always makes me laugh because it says "asses" in the Bible (and yes, I know that it is referring to donkeys).
  2. Although #1 is very long-winded, I am happy to say that #2 is going to be very simple: Life basically sucks.
  3. Yes, you read that correctly, LIFE SUCKS for the most part. The good news about the fact that life sucks, according to my Aunt Jeannie, is that "it can ALWAYS get worse". Great. Thanks for the encouragement.
  4. Even though everyone has their own trials and problems, after weighing and evaluating, I think that I will stick to my own, rather than wish for someone else's...Because even though my life might not be the greatest, it's a whole lot better than what other people got stuck with (and to all of you out there who I have decided NOT to switch problems with, I would like to say that I am sorry that your life sucks worse than mine...And now I'm going to have to be watching my back because when you say stuff like that, you are just inviting the suckiness to commence).
